Frabelle PNG Limited Shines in International Coastal Clean-Up Campaign

In a remarkable display of corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship, Frabelle PNG Limited hosted a coastal clean-up event at the Lae shoreline on October 21, 2023. The initiative was part of the company’s commitment to the global cause of tackling the issue of single-use plastic waste, in participation with the International Coastal Clean-Up Drive.

Under the leadership of the General Manager, Frabelle PNG Limited rallied 60 of its employees to participate in the event, demonstrating their dedication to protecting our natural resources. The team collectively dedicated 90 minutes, from 0900 to 1030 hours, to this cause.

The results of this conscientious effort were both inspiring and impactful. The 60 participants worked tirelessly along the Lae shoreline, collecting a staggering 500 kilograms of single-use plastic waste. This remarkable achievement underscores the magnitude of the plastic pollution problem but also serves as a testament to what can be accomplished when a community unites for a common goal.

In a message from the General Manager of Frabelle PNG Limited, the organization’s commitment to addressing the single-use plastic issue was resoundingly clear:

“Our commitment to environmental sustainability has always been at the core of our corporate values. We recognize the global menace of single-use plastics, and as a responsible corporate citizen, we are taking action to mitigate its impact. Today’s clean-up event is not just a one-time effort, but a testament to our ongoing dedication to protecting the environment. Our company is deeply committed to finding innovative, sustainable solutions to this problem and reducing our own plastic footprint. We understand

that the health of our planet is intricately connected to the well-being of all living creatures, including humans. This event is a small step towards a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future, and we invite others to join us in this vital mission.”

The global problem of plastic pollution is a daunting challenge, but the commitment demonstrated by Frabelle PNG Limited in this coastal clean-up event sets an inspiring example for other organizations to follow. Through such collective efforts, it’s possible to envision a world where coastlines are pristine, oceans are teeming with life, and the menace of single-use plastics is but a distant memory. Frabelle PNG Limited’s actions are not only an investment in our shared environment but also a beacon of hope for a greener, more sustainable future.
